tapping into a new dimension of your money relationship: your voice 🍒🍑
become the coolest rich person you know by moaning 🥵
What if I told you that your voice is a direct line to your nervous system? And what if, by learning to regulate your nervous system using your voice, you could unlock new levels of financial abundance? Intrigued? Here we go.
Let’s explore a new dimension of your relationship with money: your voice. The one you use to speak your desires, sing in the shower, and communicate with those you love.
Your Voice is a Gateway to Wealth
Your voice serves so many more purposes than just forming the words you say. Have you ever considered the actual vibration, tone, and resonance that flow through you when you speak? Utilizing that layer of your voice can regulate your nervous system, create calm, and open the doors to more money.
The Science of Sound and the Nervous System
Here’s how it works: your voice is not just a means of communication; it’s a vibration that resonates through your body. When you speak, hum, or even sing, you’re creating sound waves that interact with your vagus nerve—the nerve that plays a key role in regulating your parasympathetic nervous system. This system is all about rest, relaxation, and feeling safe—an essential state for receiving and holding onto money.
When you’re in a state of nervous system regulation, your body feels safe enough to embrace opportunities, take bold actions, and, yes, attract more money. But when your system is dysregulated—say, stuck in fight, flight, or freeze—your capacity to generate and sustain wealth diminishes. You’re more likely to self-sabotage, feel unworthy, or struggle with scarcity.
What does that mean for our relationship with money?
Your nervous system plays a crucial role in how you respond to money. When your nervous system is dysregulated—whether due to stress, fear, or past financial trauma—you’re more likely to make decisions from a place of scarcity and survival rather than abundance and confidence.
When your nervous system is in a state of dysregulation, your relationship with money can become strained and reactive. You might find yourself avoiding financial decisions, feeling anxious about your bank balance, or clinging to old patterns of scarcity because they feel familiar.
This dysregulation keeps you locked in a cycle of fear and limitation, where money feels like a constant source of stress rather than a tool for freedom and expansion. By learning to regulate your nervous system—using your voice as a powerful ally—you can transform this relationship. You move from a place of survival to a place of sovereignty, where money becomes an extension of your inner power, flowing to you with ease and grace.
In this regulated state, your decisions are guided by abundance, trust, and a deep sense of confidence, allowing you to attract and hold onto wealth in ways that feel aligned and deeply satisfying.
How to actively regulate in real time using your voice
When it’s time to face your finances—whether you’re reviewing your bank statements, budgeting, or planning your next investment—your nervous system might kick into overdrive. Don’t panic, we expected this!
This is where your voice becomes a potent tool for real-time regulation. Start by taking a few deep breaths, allowing your breath to drop low into your belly. On your exhale, hum gently. Feel the vibration in your chest, letting it soothe any rising anxiety. This simple hum activates your vagus nerve, signaling your body that it’s safe to relax.
As you go through your numbers, continue to hum or chant softly and take it as slowly as you need to. If you notice tension or stress building, pause and utilize your voice and your breath. You can huff, moan, sigh, exasperate “UGH”, giggle, chant, hum, or growl. My favorite thing to do is listen to music that I can SING to. That is the most potent way for me to regulate the nerves.
Take care of yourself, you’re doing great
Remember that this is a practice and will take some honing so be patient with yourself. Don’t take yourself too seriously and bring in some goofy, silly energy if that helps you let go and not be self-conscious about your funny noises. You are doing great and your devotion to getting comfortable with money is a huge step. Take care of yourself and celebrate your willingness to do the hard, scary things.
