(Podcast) 44 | Life Update, Feb Income Recap, & March Outlook
We had one of our highest income months ever!
Let’s recap February. It was a great (short) month and if you’re interested in hearing my full reflections about it, you should definitely check out my most recent podcast episode 44 | Life Update, Feb Income Recap, & March Outlook.
The biggest themes of February were newness and quality time with family! I tried new things in my business and in my life and the biggest catalyst for that was introducing a new content creation schedule into my business.
I tried (and struggled) to give myself more responsibility. It triggered a lot of my confidence and self worth gremlins and I wanted to share what came through for me with you.
The first thought was, “Oh that’s cute, you set a new work schedule, who do you think you are? You can’t be trusted with more, you can barely handle what you got now.”
Kinda harsh, right? Those gremlins will get ya.
But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Usually, what’s hard and scary is what’s good for me. And when my mind trash gremlins have a lot to say, I know that this is going to be an important button to press.
Every time we choose to try something new and scary it’s like riding a mechanical bull. Our limiting beliefs are trying to buck us off and convince us to not hop back on.
Every sleazy, slimy, silly little tactic your lizard brain uses on you to knock you off that bull can be faced with love and fun.
I mean how fucking fun is it to ride a mechanical bull?? Whenever you fall off, that’s fun too!
The atmosphere is usually so amped up, you’ve got some drinks in you, you’ve got a crowd full of people cheering you on, you get jostled around, and when you fall off your friends are yelling at you to go again! And if you win? Usually free food or free drinks, maybe even a gift card.
If every new, scary thing felt like riding a bull would you do it more often?
My favorite way to hold my clients is to remind them to introduce the fun into money, biz, and pleasure. Not only because, like, why not make it fun? But also because fun creates positive associations to things that are scary.
Think about the first time you rode a rollercoaster and waffled back and forth between utter regret and pure ecstasy. And when you got off you said, “🤩 I wanna do that again!”
