Life and business are hard and most of the coaches and service providers I see selling their services are promising more ease for you if you invest in them.
I also promise more ease when dealing with money and biz if you work with me. So, I’m not knocking it…
But we don’t have to be afraid of hard work.
I think there is this vilification of hard work in the spiritual space that can be detrimental to our work ethic.
Like hard work is a little mouse and we are an elephant, squealing and jumping up on a table to avoid it.
I get it, it seems like fucking everything is hard. It’s a miracle if we have enough energy to shovel food in our mouths before crashing into our beds to scroll on our phones and dissociate for two hours before finally falling asleep just to wake up and do it all over again.
And that fucking sucks. That’s our parents’ and grandparents’ version of “hard work”. It’s the kind of hard work that doesn’t feel good or satisfying at all.
There’s no sense of accomplishment, only a sense of dread and a case of the Sunday scaries.
But, there is a reason why people value hard work, why they value sticktoitiveness. It’s because a lot of things are hard and it says something about who you are if you cut and run at the first sign of strain.
It is important to have a long term vision, to have faith in yourself and the process, and to be willing to do whatever it takes for a dream.
Discomfort can feel soooo good. This is where kink and BDSM can teach us that discomfort can lead to some incredible orgasms!
I totally think that our parents’ and grandparents’ versions of “hard work” could definitely use some updating, but there is nothing like the feeling of putting your metaphorical (or not) blood, sweat, and tears into your work and going to bed with a smile on your face because you know you emptied yourself of every possible excuse and followed through on what you promised you’d do.
If you’ve been promising yourself that you were going to devote yourself to healing your relationship with money every year for as long as you can remember, then it’s time to try something different.
Let’s say you’re a lazy pleasure hedonist like me.
What role does hard work get to play in your life?
Here are some mindset shifts I’ve made:
• Life is hard, but that’s what makes it so fucking juicy 💦
• Hard work gets to be so pleasurable and fun because it leads to the life I desperately desire
• My willingness to work hard shows the Universe what is important to me, and opens my heart to receiving that desire
• Investing big in things that hold me accountable to working hard are always going to work out in my favor
What if you started working hard on the things that light you up? That you know, on a molecular level, are going to lead to the life you desire?
Healing your relationship with money might be hard (at first) but I promise it’s the kind of hard work that leaves you hitting the pillow knowing you have done something that is nourishing for your soul.
I invite you into the Group Money Healing Experience to come home to money.
It may be hard to face the childhood money wounds and integrate those lessons but you will be with a group of women and myself to hold you while you do.
You may be asking for a bigger wealth to wield. You may be asking for a greater life, a more impactful business…this is where you begin.
I love you sm,
Meaghan
